International Customs & Import Duties
Your Aura pieces are crafted and shipped from our production partner in China, and travel to you wherever you are in the world.
Because your order crosses a border to reach you, some destinations apply import duties, customs charges, or local sales tax (VAT or GST). These are set by your own country — not by Aura — and they sit outside the price you pay at checkout.
Here is everything you need to know, clearly.
What your checkout total covers
Your total at checkout covers your order and its shipping. It does not include any import duties or taxes your country may charge when your parcel arrives. If a charge applies, your carrier will let you know before your order is released.
Who covers duties and taxes
As the recipient, you are responsible for any import duties, customs fees, and local taxes your country applies. Settling these is what clears your order through customs and brings it to your door.
Aura has no control over these charges and cannot calculate them in advance, as they vary widely from one country to the next.
A quick guide by region
Thresholds and rates change over time, so treat this as a guide rather than a promise. Your local customs office always has the final word.

| European Union | VAT applies to all orders. Orders above €150 may also attract customs duty. |

| Southeast Asia | Varies by country. Smaller orders often clear duty-free; check your local threshold before ordering. |
If a parcel is refused
If customs charges go unpaid and your order is returned to us, the original shipping and any handling costs may be deducted from your refund. If you are ever unsure, reach out before you order — we would rather help you decide with clarity than leave you guessing.
